Ingredients
- 1 garlic clove, halved
- 1 large head romaine lettuce
- 1 lemon
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. anchovy paste or anchovies
- ground pepper
- 1 coddled egg, very softly boiled
- 1/4 garlic clove
- garlic croutons
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan
Directions

1Just before serving, rub large salad bowl with cut clove of garlic.

2Tear romaine into bite size pieces.

3Squeeze juice from lemon over romaine.

4In blender, mix oil, Worcestershire sauce, seasonings, anchovies and coddled egg, as well as 1/4 clove of garlic.

5Blend thoroughly; pour over romaine.

6Toss until leaves are well coated.

7Sprinkle with croutons and cheese.

8Serves 6.
