- 1 lb. dry black beans
- 1 large bell pepper
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 1/2 c. cubed ham
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 small pkg. saffron rice
Directions

1Soak beans overnight in enough water to cover.

2Cube ham.

3Chop onion and pepper.

4Braise pepper, onion and ham in small amount of corn oil.

5Place beans in cooker and cover with water, seasoning and the braised mixture of ham, onion and pepper.

6Cook until beans are tender.
