- 2 cans (15 oz. each) kidney beans
- 3 slices bacon
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1 small green pepper, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1/3 c. green onions tops
- 2 Tbsp. ketchup
- 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 jar (2 oz.) chopped pimiento
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
- cooked rice
Directions

1Place beans in a large saucepan.

2Fry bacon and crumble into beans.

3Saute vegetables in bacon drippings until wilted but not brown, stirring frequently.

4Add to beans and remaining ingredients.

5Cover and simmer about 30 minutes.

6Serve over rice. Yields 4 servings.
