Ingredients
- 2 cups low-fat buttermilk
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup wheat germ
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup raisins or 1/4 cup chopped dates
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (I use pecans.)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2Prepare a non-stick loaf pan by spraying with cooking spray.

3Mix together all ingredients and pour into prepared pan.

4Place pan in oven and lower oven temperature to 350 degrees.

5Bake for 1 hour.

6Turn loaf out on rack and cool.

7Allow bread to cool at least 8 hours before slicing and toasting this bread.
