- firm cucumbers, cut into strips
- 3 3/4 c. vinegar
- 5 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. salt
- 4 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 4 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 3/4 tsp. mustard seed
Directions

1Pour boiling water over cucumbers and let stand for 4 to 5 hours.

2Mix together all ingredients other than cucumbers.

3Boil 5 minutes.

4Pack cucumbers in jars.

5Pour mixture into jars (put 1 or 2 heads of dill in jars before cucumbers).

6Screw on flats and lids.

7Process jars in hot water bath for 5 minutes.

8Makes 6 pints.
