- 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 3/4 c. soft butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. quick oatmeal
Directions

1Over low heat, melt caramels with milk.

2Stir until smooth. Stir in walnuts; set aside.

3Mix well (like pie crust) the butter, brown sugar, salt, flour, baking soda and oatmeal.

4Spread 2 1/2 cups of mixture on bottom of 13 x 9-inch greased and floured pan. Pat down firmly with large spoon.

5Spread caramel mixture on top. Sprinkle rest of crust on top of filling; pat gently.

6Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.

7Cut when cool.
