- 1 bag Kraft caramels
- 3/4 c. margarine or butter
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 1 small can evaporated milk
Directions

1Mix cake mix, nuts, margarine and 1/2 can of evaporated milk together until moist.

2Pat 1/2 of mixture into 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and bake at 350° for 6 minutes. Melt caramels and remaining evaporated milk in saucepan.

3Pour over the chocolate mixture.

4Add remaining cake mixture by sprinkling over top.

5Bake 15 to 18 minutes at 350°.

6Refrigerate to cool and then cut into bars.
