- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 6 qt. popped corn
Directions

1Melt butter; stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt.

2Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

3Boil without stirring for 5 minutes.

4Remove from heat.

5Stir in baking soda and vanilla. Gradually pour over popped corn.

6Mix well.

7Turn into 2 large shallow baking or roasting pans.

8Bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

9Remove from oven.

10Cool completely. Break apart and store in a tightly covered container.

11Makes 5 quarts.
