Ingredients

  • 2 c. light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light Karo syrup
  • 2 sticks butter
  • pinch of cream of tartar
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 8 qt. popped popcorn

Directions

    Boil together the first 3 ingredients for 5 minutes; remove from heat.

    Add the next 3 ingredients.

    Pour mixture over popcorn in large pan.

    Bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Turn out onto waxed paper; work apart.
