Caramel Nut Candy Bars

- 8 oz. caramels (about 30)
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 3 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 (12 oz.) can peanuts (2 1/2 c.)
Directions

1Lightly grease 8-inch square pan.

2Combine caramels and milk in top of a double boiler and cook until caramels are melted, stirring occasionally.

3Remove from heat.

4Add margarine and mix well.

5Stir in powdered sugar and beat by hand until smooth.

6Stir in peanuts. With buttered fingers, press mixture into pan.

7Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours, until firm.

8Cut into bars.

9Store in refrigerator.
