  • 1/2 lb. caramels (about 28)
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. pecan halves
  • unbaked pie shell

Directions

    Place caramels, water and butter in double boiler. Heat until melted, stirring until smooth. Combine sugar, salt, eggs and vanilla. Mix well; add to caramel sauce and pecans. Stir well. Pour into crust. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
