- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. water
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 3 egg yolks and 1 whole egg
- 3 tsp. vanilla
- 1 pinch salt
Directions

1Caramelize 1/2 cup sugar in heavy skillet, add 3/4 cup water. Cook until like molasses.

2Cool.

3Beat egg yolks well, add to rest of ingredients, except vanilla.

4Cook until boiling, add carmelized sugar.

5Cook until thick, add vanilla.

6Cool; when mixture is cool pour into cool baked shell. Top with meringue.
