  • 1 1/2 c. sugar (1 c. dark brown and 1/2 c. white sugar)
  • 1 c. Pet milk
  • 4 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 5 Tbsp. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 eggs, separated

Directions

    Mix sugars, egg yolks and flour.

    Add milk and water, a little at a time, until all mixed well.

    Add salt.

    Cook in doubler boiler until thick.

    Add butter and vanilla; mix good.

    Pour into prebaked pie shell.

    Top with meringue.
