- 5 qt. popped corn
- 2 c. Virginia peanuts
- 1 c. oleo
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Combine oleo, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in heavy 2-quart saucepan. Cook and stir until sugar dissolves.

2Bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda. Pour a steady stream of syrup over popped corn and peanuts.

3Mix well.

4Put in a 250° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 10 minutes. Store in airtight container.

5Makes about 5 quarts.
