Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. or 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 c. light corn syrup
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    In heavy saucepan melt butter.

    Add corn syrup and sugar.

    Boil for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly.

    Add 1 1/2 cans of milk.

    Mix flour with rest of milk.

    Add to syrup mixture. Boil until darkens and forms medium hard ball (240°).

    Stir constantly or mixture will stick.

    Add vanilla and pour into buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Cool and cut into 1-inch pieces.

    Wrap in wax paper.
