- 1 loaf French bread, split lengthwise, then cut in half
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 10 fresh chives, chopped

1Heat broiler.

2Lightly toast bread under hot broiler.

4Sprinkle with chopped chives and set aside.

5Return bread to broiler to melt cheese.
