Cheddar Cheese Mold

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Grated
  • 1 cup Pecans, Finely Chopped
  • 2 cups Mayonnaise
  • 1 whole Medium Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Pressed
  • 2 dashes Tabasco
  • 1 cup Strawberry Preserves

Directions

    Mix all ingredients (except preserves) and press mixture into a mold lined with plastic wrap.

    Refrigerate several hours or overnight.

    Unmold.

    Serve with whole strawberry preserves (or jam) in the center and crackers (Ritz are my preference).

    For a nice touch, put the strawberry preserves in a small bowl in the center of a ring mold.

    Note: For smaller parties, I will often cut the recipe in half and use a small bowl as the mold.
