- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. (2-oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1Combine flour and shortening in a medium bowl, cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.

2Stir in cheese and milk.

3Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead lightly 3-4 times.

4Roll to 1/2-inch thickness, cut into rounds with biscuit cutter.

5Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet.

6Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
