Cheese Buds

Directions

   With mixer, blend cheese and butter.

   Sift flour and pepper. Gradually work into cream mixture with spoon.

   Roll out 1/2-inch thick.

   Cut into 1-inch rounds.

   Brush with egg white; top with pecans.

   Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in hot oven preheated to 425° for 10 to 15 minutes.

   Makes 8 dozen.
