- 1/2 lb. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 2 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper
- 1 egg white, slightly beaten
- pecan halves
Directions

1With mixer, blend cheese and butter.

2Sift flour and pepper. Gradually work into creamed mixture with spoon.

3Roll out 1/2-inch thick.

4Cut into 1-inch rounds.

5Brush with egg white; top with pecan half.

6Bake on ungreased baking sheet in hot oven (425°) for 10 to 15 minutes.

7Makes 6 dozen.
