- 8 slices bread
- 8 oz. sharp cheese
- 1/4 c. melted margarine
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 c. milk
- diced ham (optional)
- sausage (optional)
- diced green peppers (optional)
Directions

1At least four hours before serving (or may be done the day before) trim crusts from bread.

2Grease a shallow casserole and layer bread slices, then cheese (cut in bite size pieces), then bread, then cheese.

3Pour margarine over.

4Beat eggs well.

5Add salt, pepper, mustard and milk.

6Pour over bread and cheese. Cover and refrigerate.

7Put in 350° oven for 30 minutes covered, another 30 minutes uncovered.
