- 8 oz. extra sharp cheese
- 1 stick oleo
- 1 3/4 c. flour (plain)
- 1/8 tsp. red pepper
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Grate cheese into large bowl and let stand at room temperature until softened.

2Add oleo.

3Mix salt, pepper and flour.

4Gradually work into cheese-butter mixture.

5Blend until smooth.

6Using a cookie press, squeeze out cheese straws onto ungreased baking sheets.

7Cut into 2 to 3-inch lengths.

8Bake for about 15 minutes until crisp and golden.

9Do not allow to brown.
