- 2 lb. lean ground beef
- 2/3 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 oz. pre-sliced, pasteurized process cheese food
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/3 c. catsup
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 slices onion
Directions

1Combine ground beef, egg, oats, milk, catsup, salt and pepper; mix well.

2Pat meat mixture on plastic wrap to an 8 x 12-inch rectangle.

3Arrange cheese slices over meat, overlapping as necessary and leaving edges of meat uncovered.

4Separate onion slices into rings and arrange over cheese slices.

5Using plastic wrap to lift meat, roll up, starting with 8-inch side.

6Seal edges well.

7Place in microwave-safe loaf dish or shallow baking dish. Cover with waxed paper.

8Microwave on Medium-high (70%) for 23 to 25 minutes or until center is no longer pink (150°), rotating dish once or twice.

9Let stand, covered, 5 minutes.

10Remove from pan and slice.
