- 2 sausages
- 2 slices bacon
- 1 ounce cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon pickle
- 1 slice bread
- little butter
Directions

1Prick the sausages with a fork.

2Grill them under a moderate heat for about 15 minutes.

3Make a slit in each sausage, lengthways, and wedge a slice of cheese in each slit.

4Cut the rind from the bacon, and spread with the chutney.

5Wrap the bacon round the sausages and pin securely with cocktail sticks or toothpicks (not plastic ones!).

6Return to the hot grill, and cook for 5 minutes, until the bacon is crisp and the cheese is melting.

7Toast the bread, spread with the butter and serve with the sausages.
