  • 1 (12 ounce) jar cherry preserves
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon allspice
  • 14 teaspoon mace
  • 12 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 lbs chicken or 6 whole chicken breasts, split and boned

    Set aside.

    Combine flour and salt and coat chicken.

    Brown in oil in a skillet at medium heat, turning chicken.

    Cover and cook 15 minutes.

    Drain off fat.

    Add cherry sauce.

    Cover and simmer over low heat until tender.
