Cherry Dream Squares

Directions

   Mix the cake mix, 6 tablespoons of the margarine and 1 cup of oats; mix until crumbly.

   Save 1 cup of the crumbs for the top. To the remaining crumbs, add the egg and mix well.

   Press this mixture in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan, then pour a can of cherry pie filling on top.

   To the 1 cup of crumbs, add 1/4 cup of oats and 2 tablespoons margarine, 1/2 cup nuts and 1/4 cup brown sugar; mix, then put over the cherries.

   Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.

   Serve with whipped cream.
