- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. margarine
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. almond extract
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- confectioners sugar
Directions

1Cream sugar and margarine until light and fluffy.

2Add eggs, beating well after each.

3Add flour and almond extract; spread evenly into greased jelly roll pan (15 x 10 x 1-inch).

4Using a knife, mark off 24 squares in the surface of the batter.

5Put 3 or 4 cherries from can of pie filling into the center of each square. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes, or until surface is lightly browned. Remove from oven; immediately dust generously with confectioners sugar.

6Cool completely and cut.
