Chicken Cacciatore

  • 1 1/2 lb. chicken cutlets
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. granulated garlic
  • 12 pkg. sliced mushrooms
  • 16 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. red wine
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Cut chicken into 1/2-inch wide strips.

    Heat oil in frying pan. Saute chicken until golden brown.

    Add onion, celery, oregano, salt, pepper and garlic powder.

    Continue to saute until tender. Add mushrooms, tomato sauce and red wine.

    Cook for approximately 1/2 hour.

    Serves with rice or noodles.
