Chicken Casserole

  • 1 large fryer (whole)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles (use 1/2)

Directions

    Cook chicken with chopped onion in salted water.

    Cool, bone and cut up chicken in bite-size pieces.

    Boil noodles in broth. Add sour cream and soups and mix.

    Add chicken and pour in casserole dish.

    Top with five pieces of bread, coarsely broken and buttered.

    Bake 30 to 40 minutes, uncovered, at 350° until bubbly and browned.
