  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 chickens, cooked, boned and chopped
  • 1 c. slivered almonds
  • 1 small can water chestnuts, sliced thin
  • 2 c. cream
  • 6 c. milk
  • 4 c. chicken broth
  • 1/2 c. diced pimento
  • 1/2 c. chopped, cooked celery, cooked in approximately 1/4 c. water

Directions

    Cook the first 6 ingredients to the consistency of custard. Add remaining ingredients.

    Heat well; serve over noodles.

    This freezes well, just thaw, heat thoroughly and pour over fresh cooked noodles.
