Ingredients

  • 4 c. cooked cubed chicken
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can chicken broth or broth from chicken
  • 1 can drained vegetables, mixed or frozen vegetables
  • 2 c. cubed cooked potatoes
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
  • 1/2 c. melted butter or oleo

Directions

    Place chicken in a lightly greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Mix soup and broth.

    Spoon over chicken.

    Arrange potatoes and mixed vegetables over chicken.

    Mix flour and baking powder in a bowl; add butter and buttermilk and stir to form a thin dough. Pour evenly over chicken mixture.

    Bake, uncovered, in 350° oven for about 1 hour or until crust rises to top and is browned lightly.
