- 1 whole chicken (4 to 5 lb.)
- 1 (2 lb.) bag carrots
- 5 to 6 cooking onions
- 10 to 12 cooking potatoes
- 2 cloves garlic
- tarragon to taste
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. honey
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Wash chicken and salt top.

3Place in large casserole pan.

4Cut up carrots in long sections.

5Cut up potatoes in medium size pieces.

6Cut up onions and garlic.

7Add all vegetables in casserole pan with chicken.

8Add water and honey over vegetables.

9Sprinkle in tarragon.

10Place in oven.

11Bake approximately 90 minutes, covered with foil for 45 minutes, then uncovered for remainder of time.
