- 1 pkg. (6 oz.) long grain wild rice
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 c. half and half
- 1 c. broth
- 2 c. cooked chicken, chopped
- 1 can (4 1/2 oz.) mushrooms
- 1/3 c. chopped parsley or 1 tsp. dried parsley
- 1/4 c. almonds
Directions

1Prepare rice to directions.

2Saute onions in butter until tender.

3Stir in flour, salt and pepper.

4Stir in half and half and broth until thick.

5Stir in chicken, mushrooms, parsley, almonds and cooked rice.

6Bake in casserole, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes.
