- 1 to 2 lb. dry pintos
- 32 oz. canned tomatoes
- onions
- bell pepper
- 1 to 2 lb. ground meat
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. parsley flakes
- 1 tsp. garlic powder (not salt)
Directions

1Cook beans until tender; drain broth and save.

2Cook meat, onion and bell peppers together.

3Drain well and add to beans. Add tomatoes, chopped up.

4Add black bean broth until it covers mixture.

5Add spices.

6Cover and simmer 2 to 3 hours.

7Stir occasionally.

8Freezes well.

9Serve with cornbread.
