- 250 g split peas
- 3 red chilies
- 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, chopped
- 2 tablespoons spring onions, finely chopped
- 12 teaspoon cumin seed
- salt, to taste
- oil, for frying
Directions

1Rinse split peas and soak in cold water overnight.

2Drain thoroughly, and place in a blender.

3Blend to a still lumpy consistency.

4Add to a bowl with all other ingredients and mix well.

5Add a little water if needed.

6Heat oil in pan.

7Shape mixture to small balls, and fry until golden brown.

8Drain on absorbant paper and serve with bread, or alone.
