  • 2 pound Chinese cabbage
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup cubed cooked ham
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cup snow peas or frozen green peas
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch, mixed with 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions

    Cut cabbage lengthwise.

    Fry cabbage in oil; turn often and cook until tender. Add chicken broth and cook for 5 minutes.

    Add ham, mushrooms, salt, and peas.

    Add cornstarch mixture and stir in slowly. Add evaporated milk and butter.
