  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 stick butter
  • 4 Tbsp. Hershey cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°. Sift together flour, sugar and salt. Bring Crisco, water, butter and cocoa to boil in saucepan. After mixture has boiled, pour over dry ingredients. Mix well. Add eggs, soda, cinnamon, buttermilk and vanilla. Pour into greased and floured cake pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
