  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

    Grease and flour 8 x 13 pan. Bring to a boil the oleo, shortening, water and cocoa. Pour mixture over the sugar and flour. Add the buttermilk, vanilla, eggs and soda. Bake at 350° about 40 minutes (use toothpick test).
