Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 1 lb. butter or margarine
  • 2 c. chopped pecans
  • 18 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Melt butter in pot.

    Add vanilla.

    In a 6-quart pot (a pressure cooker works great) pour milk over the sugar.

    Put this on high heat and stir constantly.

    Once it boils, reduce heat a bit and boil for 6 1/2 minutes.

    Remove from heat and add butter, chocolate morsels and then nuts.

    Stir until thoroughly blended. Pour in a 13 x 17-inch pan.

    Let stand overnight (covered.)
