- 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
- 4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs (unbeaten)
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- powdered sugar
Directions

1Melt together shortening and chocolate.

2Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

3Add sugar to chocolate, stirring until smooth.

4Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

5Add vanilla.

6Add flour mixture; blend thoroughly. Chill dough 2 to 3 hours.
