Chocolate Pie

Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 2 egg yolks, beaten lightly
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 c. milk
- 4 Tbsp. (heaping) self-rising flour or 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
Directions

1Mix well the sugar, cocoa and flour (or cornstarch).

2Beat lightly the egg yolks; add 1/2 cup milk and beat lightly.

3Add this and the 1 1/2 remaining cups milk to dry mixture and stir. Put on high burner until strikes a boil, stirring constantly, then turn burner to medium and continue stirring until it thickens.

4(Make sure it is very thick.)

5Boil about 1/2 minute. Remove from burner and add flavoring.

6Let cool to warm.

7Pour into ready-baked pie shell.

8Top with meringue.
