- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. milk or cream
- 1 lump butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Scald milk in top of double boiler. Add cocoa.

2In a separate bowl, dissolve flour in 2 tablespoons milk.

3Add salt and sugar. Add these ingredients to the milk in double boiler; cook and stir for 15 minutes.

4Pour a small quantity over 2 beaten egg yolks. Beat and add to mixture in double boiler; stir and cook custard for 3 minutes.

5Add lump of butter and vanilla.

6Pour into baked pie shell.

7Cover with meringue and brown in hot oven.
