- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. Crisco shortening
- 3 c. sugar, sifted
- 5 large eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
- 1 1/4 c. sweet milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter, sugar and shortening well.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Sift flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa together.

4Add alternately with milk.

5Add vanilla and beat well.

6Coat tube pan heavily with Crisco.

7(I always line my tube pan with wax paper on bottom, cut to fit.) Bake in tube pan for 1 1/2 hours at 350°.
