- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 3 c. cake flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Sift the cake flour, baking powder and salt 3 times.

2Cream butter and Crisco, adding sugar gradually.

3Add eggs one at a time.

4Mix in vanilla and part of milk.

5Add dry ingredients alternately with remaining milk.

6Bake at 325° until toothpick comes out clean, about 1 1/4 hours.
