- 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 3/4 c. evaporated milk (equals 1 can)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Melt butter and chocolate over very low heat.

2Remove and gradually stir in the sugar.

3Add salt.

4Return to heat and stir in milk.

5Cook 7 minutes, stirring constantly.

6Do not let this boil.

7Makes a quart or so and stores well in the fridge.

8Reheat by placing jar in pan of hot water.

9Velvety and delicious!
