  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix flour and sugar together. Bring the next 4 ingredients to a boil. Pour over sugar and flour. Stir well. Add buttermilk and stir. Add eggs, baking soda and vanilla. Stir. Pour into a greased and floured jelly roll pan. Bake 20 minutes at 400°.
