  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. Nestle Quik
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Sift flour, sugar and salt together.

    In a saucepan mix Nestle Quik, butter and water and bring to a boil.

    Pour this into the flour and sugar mixture.

    In another bowl combine eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla.

    Add to mixture and mix well.

    Bake in a shallow pan, greased and floured, at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.
