- 3 c. carrots, sliced 1/4-inch thick
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 Tbsp. thinly sliced green onion
- 1 Tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Bring 1 cup water to a boil in a 2-quart saucepan and add carrots.

2Cover and cook over medium heat until carrots are tender-crisp, about 10 to 12 minutes.

3Drain and set aside.

4In same saucepan, melt butter.

5Stir in carrots and remaining ingredients.

6Cover and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, about 5 to 7 minutes.

7Yield: 4 (1/2 cup) servings.
