- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 (29 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can peeled whole tomatoes
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. freshly grated black pepper
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 clove garlic
- 3 bay leaves
Directions

1Brown the meat and onion.

2Drain off any grease.

3Place meat and onion in a large, thick-bottomed pot or a crock-pot.

4Add the remaining ingredients and stir well.

5Cook slowly for at least 4 hours, covered.

6Remove bay leaves and garlic before serving. Serve on a bed of spaghetti and top with grated Cheddar cheese.
