Cinnamon Candy(Hard Tack)

  • 1 3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3/4 c. white Karo
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 small bottle cinnamon oil (from pharmacy)
  • food coloring

Directions

    Cook sugar, syrup and water to hard crack stage (300°). Remove from heat.

    Add flavored oil and food coloring.
  3. 3
    Pour onto cookie sheet that has been sprinkled with powdered sugar.

    When cool, crack and sprinkle with more powdered sugar to prevent candy from sticking together.

    Stir only until it boils.
